1. PVC membrane material


PVC film base cloth is polyester and polyamide fiber fabric. In order to make the film more durable and waterproof, PVC is used as coating on the surface of the base cloth. The advantages of PVC coating are excellent elasticity and flexibility, high light transmittance, low price and obvious disadvantages, That is, it has poor UV resistance, antibacterial ability and corrosion resistance, basically does not have self-cleaning ability, poor gloss and durability, and the effective service life is less than 10 years. PVC membrane material is a Class B1 flame retardant material. In a fire, when the PVC membrane material reaches the melting point, there will be karst caves. 2. PTFE membrane material


PTFE membrane base cloth is a synthetic material made of ultra-fine glass fiber fabric and coated with polytetrafluoroethylene resin. Its color is only milky white. Its advantages are corrosion resistance, waterproof, bacteria resistance, high temperature resistance, UV resistance, strong self-cleaning ability, flame retardant, good fire resistance, slow aging, effective service life of more than 30 years, and its optical properties are also unique, Daytime light passes through the membrane material to become natural diffuse reflection light. The light is evenly distributed and makes people feel comfortable. At night, it can effectively reflect the light of the lighting lamp. However, its disadvantage is that it has high price, low flexibility and can not be folded. Because its base cloth is glass fiber, it is difficult to process, and it is easy to break during construction, Therefore, special construction tools are required, and the construction technology requirements are high. PTFE membrane will produce toxic gas in high temperature environment. Because of its strong durability, it is the preferred membrane material for permanent buildings. 3. PVDF membrane material


PVDF membrane is coated with PVDF difluorinated resin during the surface treatment of PVC membrane. Compared with PVC membrane, PVDF membrane has improved its physical properties such as pollution resistance, fire resistance, bacteria resistance and UV resistance, and has a wider range of applications.


4. ETFE membrane material


ETFE membrane material is different from the above membrane materials. It is directly made of ethylene tetrafluoroethylene copolymer (ETFE) raw material. It is a transparent membrane material with a thickness of only 0.2mm. Its application in membrane structure mainly exists in the form of air cushion. Its advantage is that it has excellent insulation performance, and the membrane material is automatically very light (only 0.15-0.35kg per square meter), It has good wear resistance, abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance (the fire rating reaches B1 and will not drip when burning), excellent light transmittance (the light transmittance can be as high as 95%), which can greatly reduce lighting and often save power resources. In addition, ETFE film has self-cleaning ability, dust is not easy to adhere, and the cleaning cycle is greatly increased (generally 5 years), ETFE membrane material is also a material that can be reused. Compared with glass, its weight in the same area is only 1% of the former. So many excellent characteristics make it an ideal roof or building facade material. Its disadvantages are high price, and the construction enterprise needs to have highly professional processing technology and strict construction procedures, Because it generally appears in the form of air cushion in buildings, inflatable equipment is required, which undoubtedly increases the construction and use cost of ETFE membrane structure buildings. Its applications are mainly commercial facilities, stadiums and gymnasiums.
